Little Dolphins 2009

The Little Dolphins swim group is for those who wish to be a part of the swim ream, but may not be ready physically. This swim group will be divided into Group A and Group B.  It is important to the development of the swimmer and other swimmers in the program that these requirements are met for participation in respective groups.   

• Proficient in front and back float; comfortable in deep water; has understanding of all four strokes; and can swim at least two lengths of the recreation pool without assistance.  

• GOAL: Participate in “B” swim meets.

• Comfortable in water without assistance; can submerge head underwater; has some understanding of front and back strokes; and able to swim one length of the recreation pool without holding onto the wall.

• GOAL: Become proficient in front and back strokes; begin learning fundamentals of all four strokes.

Rain Dates:

None. Rain or shine unless thunder and lightening on the morning of class.

Important Information for those in Pound Ridge Day Camp:

Campers will be escorted to and from Day Camp as follows:

Group A: Child can be dropped off at the pool by a parent or guardian at 9am and a counselor will escort them at 10 am to their respective camp groups

Group B: Child will be brought to the pool at 9:30am by counselor and picked up at 10:00am by a counselor who will escort them back to their respective camp groups.
